Black Dress Magic + Six Keys to Success

Get the Look: Dress | Boots

I found this dress after browsing through my local Target for the perfect interview outfit. This dress didn't make the cut for that purpose, but it certainly made it into my closet! I love the way that it fits, the cut and length are sexy enough without serving too much! I linked the exact dress and similar boots just for you! Under $30 - my kind of deal!

Do you guys remember seeing the "Be brave with your life" image I shared on my Instagram account a couple days ago? After spending some time thinking on it, trying to gather my thoughts and getting through this political storm that is crowding my newsfeed every day, I think I am ready.

I often correlate bravery with boldness ... standing for something, taking a chance, living life on your terms; you get it right? After working with my sweet friend and blogger peer, Brittany from Sophisticated Hue, on an event with Clinique she asked me what my Six Keys to Success are. I spent some time thinking of my answers and working on this post, I realized that being brave in life and my personal keys to success work hand in hand. I'd love to share them with you and I hope that it inspires you as much as it has inspired and pushed me forward in life!

Stephanie's Six Keys to Success:

  1. Be intentional. It's important to me to be intentional with how I live life. My purpose and goals are a huge part of what drives me. Is what you're doing today pushing you towards where you want to be?

  2. You get what you focus on. This one kind of piggy backs off of #1. Always have goals and dreams. Write them down and revisit them often!

  3. No regrets. Failure, setbacks, mistakes are a natural part of every success journey. Get back up and try again.
  4. Kindness and grace, always. Be kind to everyone you meet and even in hard times, carry yourself with grace.
  5. What other people think about me is not my business. It's easier said than done sometimes, but I've learned to not breath life into the opinions of others. Surround yourself with people who get it.
  6. Work hard. The hustle never stops. You have to work for what you want. Nothing worth having comes easy.

What are some of your mantra's? I'd love to hear from you! Thanks so much for stopping by the blog. You know I love you!
