Long Red Dress I Wore In Vegas
At the beginning of July, I went to Las Vegas for a work conference. Every year there is an awards gala plus party afterward where everyone gets dressed up for a formal dinner and then we dance the night away. I styled several looks for this trip for meetings, but went back and forth on what to wear to this last BIG event.
I wanted all of my looks to stand out and be both comfortable/true to my own style, but also eye catching and unique. I found "the one" at ASOS.com. Insert heart eyes!! ASOS has been a go-to of mine for quite sometime. I don't recall who introduced me to the brand, but I am eternally grateful to them. I easily order from their website multiple times in a month.
Since we were in Vegas, I felt like the long, flowing dress in a pop of color was the perfect way to capture both the fun vibes the city gives plus my style. I paired the dress with gold heels I bought at Elaine Turner about 2 years ago, but I linked similar styles for you. With the dress being such a bold color AND long, I wanted to keep my jewelry simple, and my makeup glamorous with a bold lippy.
Here's a breakdown of the products I used to create this look, for those who have asked!
I am wearing a curly weave and luckily, the hair curls pretty naturally with just water. I spray the Ouai Wave Spray to define the curls more and then touched up any areas that needed more detailed curling (in the front by my face and around the top of my hair) with my T3 Single Pass straightener. I've used this straightener for awhile and love that I can use it to curl my hair too.
I wore the gold flowers, however, I love the color contrast with the blue hoops as well. Both would look amazing with this dress. I got them from Baublebar.
So many of you loved this dress just as much as I do, so I couldn't wait to get this post up for you! I will say, I am about 5"8 so if you're petite, be sure to keep that in mind before ordering, as this dress was a little long on me. Thanks so much for reading!
