Tell Me About It
2017 was an exciting year for the blog! We grew a lot but also learned a lot. I'd be lying if I told you everything went as planned and that I achieved everything that I wanted to, but I came close and I'm proud of where we are at today. When I launched stephtaylorjackson.com, it was sort of a "rebirth" of my fashion blog that I started years ago when I was in college. I always regretted stopping that website, because it was genuinely something that I loved, but life happened and ... well, you know how that goes! When I relaunched nearly two years ago, I was able to pick right back up where I left off and it has been the best feeling.
I don't know that I've shared my "why" for blogging in a recent post, so I thought I'd take the time to do that today in my end of the year review post.
Writing and fashion have always been a passion of mine. I studied journalism in college with high hopes of moving to New York and writing for a major fashion magazine after I graduated. You know, a Devil Wears Prada type of story. But things didn't quite pan out that way, but I found that I was able to fulfill my passion for writing and styling through blogging. I started my page with limited expectations, I simply wanted to feel a sense of purpose and peace, and I received that and so much more.
I work full-time in addition to creating content for my blog and I still get excited every day about getting off work so that I can work on it. I stay up late up, get up early and invest a great deal of time into making sure that I produce content that I am proud of. 2017 was a year of many firsts and huge accomplishments, and my goal is to continue to improve and reach even higher goals in 2018.
I created a Google Survey that is very short (only 4 questions!) because I would love to get your feedback on how I can serve you better in 2018. Would you all be so kind as to fill it out and give me your honest feedback? Thank you so much for a great year. I've been MIA a little bit these last few weeks getting content ready for 2018, but I'm excited to bring you a couple more posts before the new year ends!
Thank you for reading! I love and appreciate each and every one of you!
